Neil Adger is a Professor in Environmental Economics in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK. He leads the research on adaptation at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research in the UK and undertakes research on social vulnerability, resilience and adaptation, and on justice and equity across scales. His latest co-edited book is Fairness in Adaptation to Climate Change (MIT Press, 2006). He was a Convening Lead Author for the Fourth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in its assessment and evaluation of adaptation. With Professor Katrina Brown, he leads the UEA node of the Resilience Alliance and co-edits the journal Global Environmental Change.
