Stewart Cohen

Dr. Stewart J. Cohen is a senior researcher with the Adaptation and
Impacts Research Division
(AIRD), Environment Canada, and an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Forest Resources Management, University of British Columbia (UBC). His research interests are in climate change impacts and adaptation, and exploring participatory approaches for conducting integrated assessments at the regional scale. Recent work includes a case study on climate change and water management in the Okanagan region of British Columbia, and a study on climate change visualization in Metro Vancouver, led by Prof Stephen Sheppard of UBC. He has contributed to several publications of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), including the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report. He teaches a graduate course on climate change at UBC, and has been an adviser, reviewer and lecturer for various research and training programs in North America and overseas.
