In the evening of the first conference day there was an official reception hosted by the Department of Sociology and Human Geography, University of Oslo and a welcome speech was given by the Head of department Karin Widerberg.
During this reception there was also the launch of the book "Adapting to Climate Change: Thresholds, Values, Governance" (Cambridge), edited by Neil Adger, Irene Lorenzoni and Karen O’Brien. The book was presented by Neil Adger and Karen O’Brien.
