The key note speech “How To Make Development And Climate Change Policies Clumsier” was given by Michael Thompson, Institute Scholar at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Luxemburg, Austria; and at the Institute for Science, Innovation and Society, Said Business School, Oxford University.

During the third conference day there was a plenary discussion on "Human Security and Policy Implications”, chaired by Susanne Moser, University of California, California, USA. The panel participants included Paulina Aldunce, University of Chile, Chile, and University of Melbourne, Australia; Katrina Brown, School of International Development and Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, University of East Anglia, UK; Anthony Patt, International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Austria; and Mark Pelling, King’s College London, UK.
